Family in town so we stopped by for dinner on a weeknight and it was packed. Everything we tried was good- garlic shrimp, eggplant w pork, sweet pork ribs, and salt and pepper fried fish. Next time will try the more authentic Shanghainese dishes. Service was quick and served family style.
I loved this place!! The food was so delicious that made my mouth water when every dish was brought to my table. The service was really nice, they were great and loved their smiles. The ambiance was really great too, it felt more like a chinese resturant than any other places that I have been to. I really recommend the fish in giner wine sauce, Shanghai duck in brown sauce, Rice cake with swimming crab, Shanghai Braised Pork belly, and crab meat tofu!! Can't wait to come here again!!
Good portions are good and service was quick. Ambiance is causal-yet-elegant. Video below shows graduation event but regular dine in was still great!
Shanghai Kitchen serves up some extremely delicious food, especially if you like Szechuan style food. The Szechuan style green beans are a must try. Their flavor will be what brings you back to Shanghai Kitchen over and over. I have tried many of the dishes in the menu and can highly recommend the Szechuan Style Triple Delight and the Orange Chicken. The service is always attentive and the restaurant itself is comfortable offering booth and table seating. I would suggest dining in as the times we have ordered food for take out have been underwhelming.
The hot & sour soup, xiao long bai dumplings, chili oil fish and basil eggplant are outstanding. Service is timely and friendly. We will keep enjoying your superb restaurant!!!
Shanghai Kitchen recently introduced two new popular Shanghai dishes, the crab roe noodles and dry pot lamb chops, rarely seen not only in Denver, but also also in Los Angeles or New York. For foodies crave for authentic Shanghai food, these are must try. The other dishes are xiaolongbao, sweet and sour baby ribs, Buddhist delight, vegetable spring rolls and shepherd's purse tofu soup.
I honestly didn't know what to expect when it comes to Shanghai food in Denver area - not many restaurants have been able to do SH food justice imho. I'm impressed by this place! They have some ver decent and authentic /staple / traditional shanghainese dishes here! Just need some prerequisite SH food knowledge to know what to order!
Edamame was hot ,place is very clean Service efficient and food was fresh will definitely be returning
